Lyrics
Seems that I’ve been listening to the radio since the day that I was born
I’d turn it on every day, heard songs both old and new
Always kept me comin’ back for more
So many different songs I’d hear
Some brought smiles and some brought tears
DJs kept me company through the years
They’d play love songs, fight songs, things will be alright songs
No matter how I felt they seemed to know just what to play
They’d play old songs, new songs, chase away the blues songs
The soundtrack of my life was in the hands of those DJs
Even now I turn it on and search along the dial to find a song I want to hear
Though all the stations that I loved are no longer there, something always catches my ear
Now it seems that times have changed
The same 10 songs are always played
How I miss those DJ days
They’d play love songs, fight songs, things will be alright songs
No matter how I felt they seemed to know just what to play
They’d play old songs, new songs, chase away the blues songs
The soundtrack of my life was in the hands of those DJs
I’m not old but I don’t find all those lists on Spotify move me like the playlists created by the DJs
They’d play love songs, fight songs, things will be alright songs
No matter how I felt they seemed to know just what to play
They’d play old songs, new songs, chase away the blues songs
The soundtrack of my life was in the hands of those DJs
They’d play old songs, new songs, and chase away your blues songs
The soundtrack of my life was in the hands of those DJs
