A beautiful Christmas song which couples Judy's wonderful voice with a lyric written by Artie Martello.
Andy & Judy are a Boston area folk duo who perform regularly at libraries, coffeehouses and concert venues throughout the Northeast and Midwest. Their close harmonies blend Judy's evocative alto and Andy's rich baritone. Beginning instrumentally with a classic folk guitar base, Andy & Judy have deepened their sound through the addition of mandolin, banjo, piano, harmonica and percussion. Their songwriting style has emerged from old-time traditional and folk music and includes country, gospel and popular music.

"Christmas" is the first seasonal song for the duo. The song is a collaboration between Judy and Radio DJ/Magician, Artie Martello. Artie posted the lyrics on Facebook back in December of 2015 and was looking for someone to set it to music. After reading the lyrics, Judy contacted Artie and sent him a rough demo of the music that she wrote. Artie gave his permission to move forward on the recording. Life gets in the way sometimes and it took until the summer of 2017 for Andy & Judy to start working on the recording. The simple instrumentation which includes Andy's guitar and John Zaia's bass and violin tracks is blended perfectly with Judy's tender vocal track. The resulting sound is that of a traditional Christmas song set in the classic style.
